I-Park is a 450-acre woodland retreat in rural East Haddam, Connecticut. There are ponds, hills, streams, stone outcroppings and cliffs. Beautiful natural fields and new growth forest. The stonewalls remind me of Ireland. I enjoyed the many walking trails and the environmental art which fits in so well with the wild untamed character of th e land.
I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to live and work on this beautiful property. Even though it was just a short time several important paintings resulted in this residency due to the sheer beauty of the place and the allotted privacy.

 THE UPPER POTOMAC DULCIMER FEST
Music and Art go hand and hand. My involvement with the Upper Potomac Dulcimer Fest where I have taught hammered dulcimer and also created much of the artwork for the organization. Music has enriched my life and affected my art in so many ways. This May we will be travelling with members of UPDF to Queretaro Mexico to perform and participate in the Cimbalom World Association. Two years ago we travelled to Germany. I love these experiences and it carrys over into my painting.
Homer is an artist colleague of mine. We met at the Artists' Gallery were we both belonged. Homer's work in his own words: "I think of my work as “figurative humanism.” When I draw or sculpt individuals, I try to capture more than a likeness. I want to depict the gesture of their movement and the essence of their spirit."
